Most intelligent film fans just assume it's going to be stupid. In doing so, they miss out on the most groudbreaking comedy since
M*A*S*H*.

Never before has America lined up to see a film about absolutely nothing and loved it so much. The sheer pleasure of seeing a packed house for a film with overflowing homoerotic content is enough to go see it. This movie is great, and if you haven't seen it, you need to.

Jon Waterman and I have been pushing Jackass: The Movie for a while now (you will notice the film on both of our top ten lists), with some success. Mostly, we have convinced our friends to give it a shot. It is time to do even more. It is time that I strongly

encourage everyone visiting this page to pre-order Jackass: The Movie, or rush to your local video store to rent it as soon as it comes out. Don't miss out on the chance to say, "I told you so" in 20 years when the film is getting the recognition it deserves.

The first shot has been fired in the battle to bring recognition to this fine film. The Music Box Theatre, the most famous art house theatre in Chicago, is showing Jackass: The Movie at midnight on March 14,15,21, and 22. "Big Deal!" you might say. Well it is, when you consider that the other midnight movies showing those weeks are The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Richard Linklater's Waking Life, and Terry Gilliam's 12 Monkeys. Not bad company for a measly reality TV show turned movie.

Don't let your preconcieved notions of what a good film is supposed to look, sound, and act like get in the way of a truly groundbreaking comedy that is sure to be a classic.
